PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and a decoding method that can improve coding efficiency.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus comprises: an input section for inputting coded data obtained by coding video data on the basis of a common index in which numbers of one reference image or more included in a first index and numbers of one reference image or more included in a second index are rearranged in combination excluding the same reference image generated by scanning them in a predetermined order; a decoding device that has means for decoding the coded data and generating the common index in which the numbers of one reference image or more included in the first index and the numbers of one reference image or more included in the second index are rearranged in the combination excluding the same reference image generated by scanning them in the predetermined order and means for generating the first index and the second index from the common index generated and decodes the coded data into the video data; and an output section for outputting the video data decoded. |
