PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a vehicle seat pad configured to allow easy setting of a sheet-like body made of hard press felt arranged on a blind spot position of a foaming mold, and easy assembling of an opposite member, while maintaining lateral both sides peripheral parts soft.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a vehicle seat pad includes: setting an insertion member 2 in an opened foaming mold 6; supplying a foaming raw material g and closing the mold, to form the insertion member 2 integrally with a pad body 1. Rise parts 92 rising from a mold surface 91 along both side edges of a mold surface 91 for the pad body 1. The insertion member 2 has a sheet-like body 4 made of press felt, and joint parts 51 engaged with both ends 45 of the sheet-like body 4 respectively, and including sheet pieces 5 made of cushioning material, each at least partially arranged outside the both edge parts 45. When the insertion member 2 is set on the mold surface 91, the sheet pieces 5 are brought into contact with inside walls 92a of the rise parts 92 and the sheet pieces 5 are set in a compressed state. |
