PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-shielding coating material with improved adhesiveness to a resin lens, a light-shielding film obtained by using the light-shielding coating material, a resin lens having a light-shielding film, and a method for manufacturing the resin lens.SOLUTION: The light-shielding coating material contains a resin having a solubility parameter approximate to that of an optical resin that constitutes a resin lens, by 35 mass% or more with respect to the whole resin content. A light-shielding film 4 is formed on a resin lens by using the light-shielding coating material. The method for manufacturing the resin lens includes the steps of: forming a resin lens body; and forming the light-shielding film 4 by applying the light-shielding coating material on a portion of the obtained resin lens body excluding at least a lens surface.
