PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can efficiently remove radioactive cesium from radioactive cesium-contaminated soil.SOLUTION: A cleaning method for radioactive cesium-contaminated soil includes: a separation step for mixing radioactive cesium-contaminated soil with water, allowing the mixture to stand for a fixed time, and separating the mixture into fine grain soil included in turbid water and having a grain size of 45 μm or less and coarse grain soil as a sediment and having a grain size of over 45 μm; and an extraction step for extracting radioactive cesium from the sediment with an acidic chemical solution, and obtaining cleaned coarse grain soil. |
