PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when characters are captured across different images, a single image cannot hold the entire character string, and it is difficult for a viewer to grasp the entire character string.SOLUTION: On the basis of similarity between or positions of respective character area images extracted from different images, a combination of character area images to be combined are determined; and the determined combination of character area images are united by connecting overlapping area images having similar image feature amounts, so as to allow a viewer to grasp characters captured across different images. |
