PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of selecting a bearer for implementing both of power saving of a battery and improving communication speed.SOLUTION: A data amount determination unit 14 estimates a communication amount by referring to a communication history table 142 for previously storing a connection destination URL and an estimation communication amount associated with each other, when a data communication request occurs; compares the estimated communication amount with a communication amount threshold previously stored in communication amount threshold storage means 144; and outputs a main bearer selection signal to a bearer determination unit 13 when the estimated communication amount is less than the communication amount threshold, and outputs a speed comparison signal to a speed comparison unit 15 when the estimated communication amount is not less than the communication amount threshold. The speed comparison unit 15 outputs either of the main bearer selection signal and a sub bearer selection signal to the bearer determination unit 13, on the basis of communication speed of a main bearer and sub bearer. A communication control unit 16 transmits/receives data by using the main bearer or sub bearer, according to the main bearer selection signal or sub bearer selection signal from the bearer determination unit 13. |
