PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable processing in the case where a document registration operation is performed by a client who cannot designate and operate a document version.SOLUTION: In the case of having already registered a document having the same name as a document requested for registration from a client, a document management server of this invention determines whether the document having the same name is a document having a plurality of versions. In the case where it is determined that the document has a plurality of versions, after the document name of the document having the same name is changed, the document requested for registration is registered. On the other hand, in the case where the document having the same name is a document composed of one version, the document requested for registration is overwritten on the document having the same name for registration. |
