PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processor, a document processing method and a scanner.SOLUTION: The document processor includes a text line extraction unit for extracting a text line from an inputted document, a language classification unit for determining whether a language of the inputted document has to be subjected to OCR processing, an OCR unit for determining OCR reliability by performing OCR processing when determined that the OCR processing has to be done, a graphic feature recognition unit for determining graphic feature recognition reliability, and a determination unit for determining the total reliability at least on the basis of the graphic feature recognition reliability and the OCR reliability, and determining the direction of the inputted document on the basis of the total reliability. According to a technical program of this invention, the direction of a document can be more accurately determined, and the program is suitable to determine the direction of a document having deteriorated image quality of the document in particular. |
