PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling stop system of an internal combustion engine, the system capable of reducing each of a period from announcing a stop command of an engine until the engine is completely stopped and a period of announcing a restart command of the engine until the engine is turned to be operable, without increasing a cost, and capable of reducing a discomfort feeling of a driver due to vibration.SOLUTION: When a stop command for an engine 1 is announced, an ECU 12 increases a hydraulic pressure of an oil pump 7 that supplies a working hydraulic pressure to a gear shift mechanism 10, and thereby applies a brake torque to the engine 1 via an input shaft 3 to reduce a time period until the engine 1 is completely stopped. |
