摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous implant material capable of ensuring sufficient bondability with a bone while having strength characteristics similar to that of a human bone and avoiding the generation of a stress shielding phenomenon, and maintaining the stable strength against a bending load.SOLUTION: A porous metal body includes a central member 2 extending in a length direction, a cylindrical member 3 surrounding the outer peripheral surface other than both end surfaces, and an outer peripheral member 4 arranged in the outer peripheral surface, the members being bonded to one another, wherein the central member 2 and the outer peripheral member 4 each have a three-dimentional mesh structure in which a plurality of pores formed by continuous skeletons continue. The porous metal body has a porosity of 60-98% and the cylindrical member 3 is a dense metal body having a porosity of 0-50%, the outer peripheral member 4 having a predetermined dimension is arranged between a plurality of convex portions 9 of the outer periphery of the cylindrical member 3, the area occupation rate of the dense metal body on a cross section in a direction perpendicular to the length direction is 5-50%, the longitudinal elastic modulus of the entire in compressing in a direction parallel to the length direction is 5-35 GPa, and an elastic modulus is 10-35 GPa.
