The work vehicle is provided with: a hydraulic pump (9); a work device (107) having a lift cylinder (13) that is driven by pressure oil from the hydraulic pump (9); an operating device (104) for operating the work device (107); a traveling motor (7) for driving the tires (18); and a main controller (100) for reducing the speed increase limit for the torque necessary for the traveling motor (7) when the lift cylinder (13) does not operate despite there being an instruction for lift cylinder (13) extension from the operating device (104) compared to when the lift cylinder (13) is operating. Occurrence of wheel slippage when raising the object to be carried can thereby be limited.
