In a hydraulic sealing medium barrier for sealing a piston rod of a reciprocating compressor, high temperature of the sealing medium result, and there is the danger of dirt and abrasion debris depositing and thus impairing the function of the seal. According to the invention, in order to prevent this, a sealing assembly (1) is proposed, which, in order to recirculate sealing medium, provides a discharge line (11) for sealing medium, which is connected to the opening (10), and a recirculating device (13), by means of which sealing medium is recirculated through the opening (10) via the feed line and discharge line (7, 11) while the pressure (p0n) of the sealing medium is maintained. |
