<p>Disclosed are a process for preparing glass with a low thermal expansion coefficient and the glass product prepared thereby. The preparation process comprises: providing glass raw materials, wherein in the glass raw materials the content of aluminium oxide is 16%-33%, the content of silicon oxide is 4.11 - 5.48 times the content of calcium oxide, the content of calcium oxide is 0.8-1.99 times the content of magnesium oxide, by weight percent, and boron oxide, potassium oxide and sodium oxide are omitted from the raw materials; then subjecting the glass raw materials to annealing and cooling after mixing-stirring, melting, homogenizing, clarifying, and shaping. The shaping process can be selected from a drawing process, a blowing process and a compressing process. The glass product obtained has a low thermal expansion coefficient and a breaking strength up to 115-180 MPa.</p> |
