The paint mist separating device (10) has a collecting funnel (16) which is provided with a funnel inlet and a funnel neck (18). The funnel neck is provided for connection to a collecting tank for paint. A collecting hood (20) is arranged opposite the funnel inlet and provided with a paint mist inlet opening into which a smaller end of the tapered tube (12) is opened. The outlet gap (42) is provided between the inlet opening of the collecting funnel (14) and the collecting hood. An independent claim is included for a paint booth.
