The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing mobile content considering a handover which enables the continuous transfer of content without a stop during a handover due to the movement of a mobile node when the content is provided for the mobile node using local caching devices distributed in a mobile network. If a handover of a mobile node occurs, a response message including identification information is received from the local caching device to which the mobile node is connected, in response to a heartbeat message in which a mobile CDN controller periodically transmits, and the mobile CDN controller determines, using an identification number, whether the mobile node is handed over. As a result of the determination, the content is provided using the local caching device to which the mobile node is connected after the handover. Therefore, the content can be provided seamlessly and stably.
