The package has a film casing forming a closed packaging space for a product, which forms gas i.e. carbon dioxide, within the package by metabolism. The film casing comprises a two-layer portion i.e. chamber, that is limited at an inner side of the package by a gas-permeable inner film (1) and at an outer side of the package by gas-impermeable packaging material (2), where the gas is permeated by the inner film. A cavity (3) of the casing is limited by the packaging material and the inner film and formed as a gas pad after opening the package to partially or completely stiffen the casing. |
