The present invention relates to a film attaching apparatus for attaching a film to the surface of a display panel, the film attaching apparatus comprising: a conveyor for consecutively transferring the display panel; a feeder for consecutively supplying the film to the conveyor; an attaching roller for attaching the film supplied by the feeder to the surface of the display panel; a longitudinal cutter for sensing, among edges of the display panel, a longitudinal edge in a direction parallel with the transfer direction of the conveyor and cutting the film along the longitudinal edge; a transverse cutter for sensing, among the edges of the display panel, a transverse edge perpendicular to the longitudinal edge and cutting the film along the transverse edge; and a scrap roller for removing scraps from the display panel while winding the scraps which are created in a remaining part except one part of the film attached to the display panel as the longitudinal edge and the transverse edge of the film are cut by the longitudinal cutter and the transverse cutter. According to the present invention, the separation, cut, and attachment of the film can be continuously performed in one work line by cutting the film along the edges of the display panel by the longitudinal cutter and the transverse cutter while consecutively attaching the film to the display panel transferred by the conveyor. Particularly, a failure rate can be reduced by accurately cutting the film attached to the display panel. |
