An independent claim is also included for preparing the bath additive, comprising (i) mixing a first part, preferably more than 50-80 % total amount of anhydrous water-soluble carrier, preferably salt carrier with active agents, preferably essential oils/extracts and at least one dye corresponding to the first phase, optionally together with at least one conditioning agent and/or emulsifier in a conventional manner, (ii) mixing the remaining amount, preferably less than 50 wt.% carrier, preferably salt with at least one dye and at least one active ingredient corresponding to the second operative phase, optionally together with at least one conditioning agent in a conventional manner, (iii) providing the carrier particles obtained in the step (ii) with at least one layer of a retardant or retardant mixture comprising fixed, preferably natural oils, preferably natural waxes, liquid natural oil, shellac and/or sugar by spraying, (iv) mixing together the particles obtained in the steps (i) and (iii) in a suitable ratio of 4:1:1-1.2, and (v) bottling the bath additive obtained in the step (iv) into suitable containers, preferably disposable sachets or larger containers.
