<p>A device includes a drive portion 500 for driving a pressure generating element L such as a piezoelectric actuator, and controlling a state of driving the element L. The drive portion 500 includes a first drive section 510 for causing a first current I1 to flow to drive the element L; and a second drive section 520 for causing a second current I2 smaller than the first current I1 to flow to drive the element L. The state of driving the element L includes a first state and a second state. The second drive section 520 causes the second current I2 in a direction in which the element is switched from the first state to the second state to flow at a timing that is earlier by a predetermined time determined in advance with respect to a timing at which the first drive section 510 causes the first current I1 for switching the state of driving the element from the first state to the second state to flow.</p> |
