An improved process for making, stabilizing and monitoring the compound of general formula (3) in which R1,R2,R3 are independently a straight or branched alkyl group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms and/or a phenyl group, is provided. The compounds of formula (3) are important intermediates in making the pharmaceutically active compound everolimus.
