System and method for checking attendance using location-based local wireless communication

PURPOSE: A location-based attendance checking system using local area wireless communication and a method thereof are provided to perform attendance management by checking attendants and absentees among members belonging to the lecture by using at least more than one local area network wireless communication terminals. CONSTITUTION: An attendance check module (11) manages registered terminal identification information of a local area wireless communication terminal per lecture room. The attendance check module performs member authentication by the member identification information included in the reception of an attendance check request signal from a member terminal. The attendance check module receives the lecture selected by the member from the member terminal. The attendance check module provides registered terminal identification information of the local area wireless communication terminal installed in the lecture room to the member terminal. The attendance check module performs attendance management by the attendance check information received from the member terminal.
