Apparatus 18 for preventing unauthorised access to an electronic control unit 2, specifically on a Mercedes (RTM) Sprinter van or a Volkswagen (RTM) Crafter (RTM) van, which apparatus comprises a cover 20 for fitting over electrical connector plugs (4, figure 1) on the electronic control unit, and securing means 22 for securing the cover in position, and the apparatus being such that: the cover has a cage portion 24 which fits over the electrical connector plugs such as to prevent removal of the electrical connector plugs; the cover extends over part 26 only of the electronic control unit 2 and such that the cover does not adversely affect dissipation of heat from the electronic control unit and which is generated during operation of the electronic control unit; the securing means comprises apertures 28 and bolts for passing through the apertures; and the apertures are positioned for enabling the bolts to connect to at least two different fixing points which already exist in the vans in question. |
