PURPOSE: A hybrid cutting device in which mechanical milling and electrical discharge machining are converged and a cutting method thereof are provided to maintain the roughness of a surface at a standard level of a milling process and to improve the rate of removing a material. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid cutting device(100) in which mechanical milling and electrical discharge machining are converged comprises an end mill(20), a work table(30), a power supply unit(40), and a control unit(50). The end mill comprises a plurality of cutting blades and the lower surface of a groove. The cutting blade protrudes to be twisted from a shaft line direction. The lower surface of a groove is formed between the cutting blades. When rotating the end mil, the cutting blade cuts non-workpiece and the electrical discharge machining is performed to the non-workpiece in the lower surface of the groove. |
