The present invention relates to a light inducible promoter and a gene expression system which includes the same. The present invention provides the light inducible promoter which includes base sequence described in sequence number 12 and a method for producing heterologous protein using the same. The light inducible promoter of the present invention induces gene expression by light irradiation and controls amount of gene expression according to luminous intensity so that the light inducible promoter can simply control the gene expression without putting strains on growth or metabolism of organisms and be applicable in various kinds of organisms and have wide utility ranges.
