PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical sensor and an electrochemical detection device and method for detecting inclusion of a detection object while maintaining conventional detection sensitivity, and especially for detecting a chemically unstable reaction intermediate. SOLUTION: An electrochemical detection device 21 includes: an electrochemical sensor 11 configured such that an electrode 11A for electrochemical sensor for working electrode formed obtained by forming a conductive film on the surface of a filtering film whose hole path is cylindrical, straight in shape, and uniform in hole diameter, and an electrode 11B for electrochemical sensor for counter electrode obtained by forming a conductive film on the surface of the filtering film whose hole path is cylindrical, straight in shape, and is uniform in hole diameter are overlapped so as not to be short-circuited; potential control means 22 that fixes a potential difference between the working electrode and the counter electrode constant; and current measurement means 23 that measures the change of a current value due to oxidation or reduction of a detection object in the electrode for electrochemical sensor.
