PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten salt having conductivity higher than the conventional one, a thermal battery having excellent output characteristics in a low temperature range rather than the conventional thermal battery or being small in size and light in weight; and to improve chemical stability of the molten salt which is difficult or impossible with conventional technology. SOLUTION: The molten salt containing at least two types of salt has a melting point of 350°C or more and 430 °C or less, and an electric conductivity at 500°C of 2.2 S/cm or more.
