Disclosed are an LED lighting apparatus and an AC-DC converting circuit used in the same. The LED lighting apparatus of the present invention comprises: an AC-DC converting circuit converting a received alternating voltage into a direct voltage and then outputting the direct voltage; and a light emitting module emitting a light by the direct voltage. Each of a first through an n^th charging capacitor of the AC-DC converting circuit is driven to have a charging voltage corresponding to the sum of charging voltages of a reference capacitor and a charging capacitor of a previous charging stage, in a voltage distribution section. By the AC-DC converting circuit of the present invention, various levels of alternating voltages can be converted into one direct voltage as excluding and inductor. And, the LED lighting apparatus applying the AC-DC converting circuit of the present invention can make an LED emit a light by a stable direct voltage.
