An electric storage device includes: an external terminal 14 having an exposed face exposed outside from an outer covering; a current collector 13 disposed inside the outer covering and connected to the external terminal 14; and an electrode assembly 2 disposed inside the outer covering and connected to the current collector 13. The outer covering is substantially in a shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and formed by a lid body 3 forming one face of the outer covering and a battery case 1 forming the other faces. The electrode assembly 2 is formed by winding sheet-shaped positive electrode 5 and negative electrode 4 into a flat shape with a separator 6 interposed therebetween and housed in the battery case 1 so that curved portions obtained by the winding are positioned on a lid body side and a bottom face side. The lid body 3 has an electrolyte solution filling portion 10 that opens to a clearance formed between the curved portion of the electrode assembly 2 and the lid body 3.
