Disclosed is a motor control apparatus and method for a continuous variable valve lift (CVVL) apparatus of vehicles. According to the motor control apparatus and method for a CVVL apparatus of the present invention, there is an advantage that; lowering of a response speed to driver's requirements and a fuel efficiency resulting from lowering of responsiveness to the CVVL apparatus according to provision of a calibrated target value to the motor can be fundamentally prevented after calibrating the target value for the target torque with a calibration value derived on the basis of a difference between the target value for motor torque and the actual measurement value for the derived motor torque based on positional values of the variable valve supplied from a control shaft of the CVVL apparatus.
