A non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery is provided to impart excellent lifespan characteristics to a battery while ensuring improved overcharge stability. A non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprises: a lithium salt; and a non-aqueous organic solvent comprising a compound represented by the following formula 1. In formula 1, each of R1 and R2 represents a substituted or non-substituted C1-C10 alkyl, C2-C10 alkenyl, C2-C10 alkynyl, C3-C10 cyclic group, C3-C10 unsaturated cyclic group or an aromatic group, or R1 and R2 are optionally linked to each other to form a ring. The compound of formula 1 includes dimethyl carbamate or oxazolidone. |
