PURPOSE: A cooling tower is provided to convert potential energy of cooling water into rotary power by the fall of the cooling water flowing in the cooling tower and save energy required to operate the cooling tower by rotating a ventilation fan inside using the same. CONSTITUTION: A cooling tower(100) comprises a discharge pipe(20), a rotary power generating member, a cooling water collecting unit(130), and a gear box(120). The rotary power generating member generates rotary power by the falling cooling water in the discharge pipe. The cooling water collecting unit delivers the cooling water to a spraying nozzle by collecting the fallen cooling water after rotating the rotary power generating member. The gear box delivers the rotary power of the rotary power generating member to a ventilation fan and rotates the ventilation fan. |
