PURPOSE: An intelligent association blocking band steering system method and a system thereof are provided to solve an invalidation problem for probe requests due to conventional forced association. CONSTITUTION: An Intelligent Association Blocking (IAB) band steering administrator (210) receives probe requests of 802.11a (5 GHz) and 802.11g (2.4 GHz) of a dual mode Mobile Station (MS) which attempts to access. An 802.11g modem (230) receives the 802.11g (2.4 GHz) probe request of the dual mode MS. The 802.11g modem transmits the 802.11g (2.4 GHz) probe request data to the IAB administrator. An 802.11a modem (220) receives the 802.11a (5 GHz) probe request of the dual mode MS. The 802.11a modem transmits the 802.11a (5 GHz) probe request data to the IAB administrator. |
