PURPOSE: An SMD power inductor is provided to obtain high corrosion resistance by using a mixture of micro carbonyl iron powder and alloy powder with at least two metal materials. CONSTITUTION: An inductor is composed of a coil (20) which is cylindrically wound and electrode terminals (10a,10b) which are bonded to both ends of the coil. The inductor is formed by pressurizing and molding a core which integrates a part of an electrode and the coil by burying the part of the electrode and the coil. A mixture is made by mixing micro carbonyl iron powder with alloy metal with at least two metal materials. A mixing ratio of the micro carbonyl iron powder and the alloy metal is determined according to a frequency and inductance which are applied to the electrode terminals. The particle size of the alloy powder is inversely proportional to the quantity of binders mixed with the mixture.
