A processing module provides a set of gradation level signals used by a liquid crystal display module which displays an image by processing image data. The processing module comprises: a scale value controller for determining a first scale value; a brightness controller for determining a brightness value controlled by using a requested brightness value, a brightness control parameter and a baseline brightness value; a correction part for determining a scale value corrected in relation with a current frame by using the first scale value and the controlled brightness value; a scaler for generating a set of gradation level signals using at least one among the image data, the corrected scale value and a damped scale value determined by using the corrected scale value; and a hardware circuit for performing one or more tasks in relation with one or more among the scale value controller, the brightness controller, the correction part and the scaler.
