COMPOSITION FOR CONTROLLING THE DISEASES OF RED PEPPER PLANTS AND CONTROL METHOD USING IT

The present invention relates to novel uses of an insecticidal activity substance isolated from entomopathogenic bacteria and, specially, to a composition for controlling diseases of red pepper plants and a control method of red pepper plants using the same. The present invention checks novel effects of indole which is known as a pesticidal metabolite of Xenorhabdus nematophila K1 and provides novel uses of indole as a controlling agent for phytophthora blight or anthracnose based on such results. The composition for controlling diseases of red pepper plants includes indole as an active ingredient which controls the phytophthora blight or anthracnose. In addition, the present invention provides the control method of red pepper plants which includes a step of processing indole on rhizosphere soil in which the red pepper will be planted or is planted, or on the ground part of the red pepper. The present invention can be widely used as an effective method for preventing and treating the phytophthora blight or anthracnose and, specially, widely used for replacing existing chemicals having many problems such as low effects, tolerance generation and the likes.
