The present invention relates to novel non-halogen-based flame-retardant epoxy compounds and compositions containing nitrogen-based organic compounds and, more particularly, to novel non-halogen-based flame-retardant epoxy compounds that contain nitrogen-based organic compounds and are useful a raw material for preparing the flame-retardant agent, and compositions comprising the same. The compounds and compositions are useful for an insulating material for electric and electronic products, various kinds of composite materials such as laminated plates or CFRP, adhesives, and paints
