PURPOSE: An apparatus for forming an alignment layer for a liquid crystal display device is provided to simplify a process by performing an alignment solution spraying process and a rubbing process at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A substrate is loaded on a table. A rubbing cloth(125) is formed in the outer surface of a rubbing roll(120). The rubbing roll is rotated in the upper part of the substrate. An alignment solution accommodating space(121a) is formed in the inner part of the tubular body(121) of the rubbing roll. Jet holes are formed in the tubular body to supply alignment solution from the alignment solution accommodating space to the rubbing cloth. |
