PURPOSE: A cooling tower is provided to reduce electricity by operating an element to operate the cooling tower through a generator using potential energy of the cooling water. CONSTITUTION: A cooling tower(100) comprises a discharge pipe(20), a torque generating member, a cooling water collecting unit(130), and a generator(120). The discharge pipe discharges cooling water from an inner upper part of the cooling tower to a lower part. The torque generating member generates torque by the cooling water falling from the discharge pipe. The cooling water collecting unit collects the cooling water falling after rotating the torque generating member and delivers to a spraying nozzle. The generator generates the power source by the torque of the torque generating member and outputs. |
