The present invention relates to a functional cosmetic composition which includes 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rg3 as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a cosmetic composition which includes 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rg3 as an active ingredient, to a cosmetic composition for enhancing skin elasticity and wrinkles, and to a make-up method having antiaging, wrinkle improvement, or skin elasticity enhancement effect by applying the cosmetic compositions to human skin. The 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rg3 of the cosmetic composition has antioxidant activities by suppressing generation of ROS (reactive oxygen species), and suppresses activities of matrix metalloproteinases-9 (MMP-9) and expression of matrix metalloproteinases-2 (MMP-2) in order to be utilized in various functional cosmetic materials. |
