A system for the prevention of car collisions when performing overtaking maneuver comprises a longitudinal slope sensor, evaluator comprising an approach velocity evaluator, unit for control of real car speed and speedup deviation from preliminarily predicted values, logic unit, alarms of overtaking prohibition or allowance. The approach velocity and geometrics of the vehicle are determined by two radars. Additionally audio and light warning devices are mounted, as well as warning devices on possibility of safe overtaking maneuver. A brake control unit is used. |
