The present invention relates to a system for providing a virtual menu connected with an object and a method thereof. To be specific, the present invention relates to an augmented reality technology having correlation with morphometric and functional aspects of real objects. To do this, a system for providing a virtual menu connected with an object according to the present invention comprises: an object-connected information database, an actual image receiver, an object-recognizing unit, an object identification information comparer, a virtual menu augmentation unit, and a controller. The object-connected information database stores object identification information of an object and information defined to connect at least one virtual menu with the object identification information. The actual image receiver receives an actual image taken from a camera. The object-recognizing unit recognizes an object included in the actual image. The object identification information comparer compares the object identification information of the recognized object with the object identification information stored in the object-connected information database to check their identicalness. The virtual menu augmentation unit augments a virtual menu connected with the identified object identification information when the object identification information is identified by comparing. The controller processes a function corresponding to the augmented virtual menu selected by a user.
