The present invention relates to an unlocking method using a touch-screen and an electronic device using the same. The electronic device according to the present invention include: a display displaying a screen lock picture in a screen lock condition; a touch screen on which touches are inputted; and a controller unlocking the screen lock condition when sensing a first touch event maintaining for a predetermined first time or more than in the screen lock situation and a second touch event happening within a predetermined second time after the first touch event ends. According to the present invention, when a first touch event maintaining for a predetermined first time or more and a second touch event is inputted within a predetermined second time after the first touch event ends, time conception is introduced for touch screen unlocking to unlock the touch screen lock condition, and malfunction of a touch screen by unintentional input can be more effectively prevented.
