FIELD: personal use articles.SUBSTANCE: drinking container for decanting and/or aerating the beverage comprises: a cup having a bottom and an upper opening and an aerating element inside the cup, having a hollow part facing upwards above the bottom of the cup. The hollow part has a plurality of perforations made in it. The aerating element has a free upper opening which is located below and at a distance inside of the upper opening of the cup, and is retained by at least one rack extending over the bottom of the cup. The aerating element is located above the bottom of the cup at a distance sufficient to enable the required volume of wine to flow through it and descend under its own weight to the bottom of the cup. While the cup and the element are initially empty, the beverage can be poured from above the upper opening of the cup directly into the aerating element and is able to flow through the perforations in the hollow part facing upwards and descend under its own weight to the bottom of the cup for decanting and/or aerating of the beverage.
