A real time energy diagnosis method in order to save energy in a building comprises the following steps: determining an energy consuming factor in a building; defining a diagnostic factor corresponding to the consuming factor; performing energy consumption modeling of the building according the consuming factor and diagnostic factor; determining an optimal energy scenario for the building in order to control the diagnostic factor corresponding to the consumption factor by a given unit time for a given diagnostic period; comparing a real time monitoring value with an optimum value according to the optimal energy scenario on the basis of the diagnostic corresponding to the consuming factor; and displaying the comparison result between the real time monitoring value and the optimum value.
