The present invention discloses a method for remotely monitoring the monitor of a computer using a portable terminal. The present invention relates to the remote screen monitoring method comprises (a) a step of enabling the portable terminal to request the screen image of the monitor to the computer using P2P communication; (b) a step of transmitting the screen image of the monitor which is obtained by the computer according to the set reference to the portable terminal using the portable terminal; and (c) a step of displaying the screen image of the monitor on a screen. According to the present invention, a user conveniently monitors the monitor of the computer using the portable terminal in a remote site. Therefore, the user can accurately control the access right to the monitor by setting a screen key. The monitoring method of the present invention can be utilized as the screen monitoring of a manless information terminal, the screen monitoring of children's computers, the monitoring of a POS screen, and the monitoring of a control system. In addition, a manpower shortage problem can be solved by enabling the user to monitor many people using the screen of a CCTV camera in the portable terminal.
