A set-top box which differentially blocks the power supplied to the peripherals in a standby mode and a power management method thereof are disclosed. The multi-functional integrated set-top box with a power management function comprises: at least one peripheral; a power supply unit for supplying power to the peripheral; a reception unit for transferring, to a System-On-Chip, a power off signal which directs to enter into a standby mode; the System-On-Chip for transferring the power off signal to a microcomputer: and the microcomputer for directing the power supply unit to differentially block the power supplied to each peripheral based on a playback mode if the microcomputer received the power off signal.
