APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SORTING ROD-LIKE ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a system for sorting rod-like waste elements produced in various stages of a cigarette production process.SOLUTION: A conveying apparatus includes a sieve element 7 on which at least one pusher slat 2 moves. The pusher slat is transversal to its moving direction and moves rod-like elements upward. The rod-like elements are moved along the pusher slat. The sieve element 7 has a sieve section having a through opening which is divided into at least two mutually adjacent through sub-sections by oblique bars. The sub-sections in each sieve section has the same width, and the bar of each section is oriented substantially at the same acute angle &bgr; while the width is different in each section. The width and length of each section are precisely selected to one selected length of the rod-like elements to allow the rod-like elements to pass through the sub-sections or fall.
