PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drivability of hill start in connection with a control device of vehicle and a control method of vehicle that include a hill assist function capable of easily conducting particularly hill start.SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 is held in a hill hold state by a braking force of a braking device 80 until a restarting control is conducted by a control device 50 and driving force of uphill stop torque or more is output from a driving device 11. When the driving force which exceeds the uphill stop torque is output from the driving device 11 the braking force by the braking device 80 used for the uphill stop torque in replacement is released.
