PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor that increases magnetic flux density on an outer circumferential surface of a rotor core, and to provide a rotary electric machine having the same.SOLUTION: A rotor 4 includes: a rotor core 22; a plurality of embedded magnets 23 that are embedded in and fixed to the rotor core 22; and end magnets 31 that are provided on two axial sides of the rotor core 22. Magnetic poles of the end magnets 31 are provided at positions axially facing respective magnetic path sections 33 as magnetic paths of magnetic fluxes of the embedded magnets 23 passing through an outer circumferential surface 22a of the rotor core 22. The magnetic poles of the end magnet 31 are magnetized so as to have the same polarities as respective magnetic poles of the embedded magnets 23 appearing on the side of the magnetic path sections 33. |
