PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, by which a problem of reaction failure in radical polymerization with a curable monomer and a problem of appearance failure in forming a surface layer can be solved, and to provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, by which wear resistance characteristics and strength against rubbing of the surface layer can be improved, image blur in a high temperature and high humidity environment and generation of an image memory can be prevented, and a favorable electrophotographic image that is stable for long period of time can be formed.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor aims to manufacture an electrophotographic photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer and a surface layer successively layered on a conductive support. The surface layer is formed by an electrolytic polymerization process including steps of: preparing an electrolytic polymerization solution by dissolving at least a polymerizable compound in an organic solvent; immersing the conductive support with the photosensitive layer formed thereon, as an active electrode, in the electrolytic polymerization solution together with a counter electrode and a reference pole; and applying a voltage between the active electrode and the counter electrode. |
